Everyone should watch this video:
Below is a transcript of the video.
Norman: When did you meet Reagan?
Cavuto: I met him in the mid ’80’s and I said, “Mr. President, I like you.” And he just said, “Thank you.” He said, “The country likes me.” “You don’t think that the country likes you?” “What do you think?” And then he told me who he was and when he was president.
It’s a short conversation but if you understand those two points, it brings it all into clarity.
Cavuto: I loved him, but I wasn’t really awed by him.
Norman: He was, too.
Cavuto: But he was very nice to me.
Norman: A lot of people were.
Cavuto: Here’s something very important.
Norman: He wouldn’t be my president, I don’t know how he would be yours, but I’d have no problem. No problem.
Cavuto: He would be too soft on socialism. He would be too soft on socialism.
Norman: I would definitely not vote for him.
Cavuto: You know why?
Cavuto: Because he’s too soft on socialism?
Norman: He was soft on socialism.
Cavuto: It’s a blanket statement.
Norman: No, he was soft on socialism in general.
Cavuto: I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.
Cavuto: He was a good president.
Norman: He was a good president.
Cavuto: He’s the only one, the only conservative president.
Norman: He didn’t put too much money in, but he put so much money 0b46394aab
