The classic game of cornhole involves individuals or teams competing to get the most bags in the hole or on the board until the game ends. The gameplay can be offensive (trying to obtain points), defensive (trying to prevent your opponent from scoring), or a combination of both.

The type of wood used to build a cornhole board does not matter so much. The more important factor is the wood's thickness. We suggest using half-inch thick plywood. This assures that the bag does not bounce right off the board.

In a professional cornhole game, the boards are set exactly twenty-seven feet apart from each other. This measurement is taken from the front of the first cornhole board to the front of the second board. This ensures that the game is challenging and entertaining while also being fun to watch.

Another important factor to consider is the material, because it can significantly affect your game play. Plywood is the only material that the ACA recommends as a playing surface. Another aspect of our boards that set us apart from the rest is the fold-able legs. We see far too many board designs that have a very basic and cheap use of the hardware that secures the legs to the frame. It usually involves a bolt and a wingnut. This is sure to come loose and over time the hardware will get lost or even worse, the holes in the frame and legs will wear out causing an unstable set of boards. We have designed our boards to have the hardware securely mounted by using a nut and a washer to secure the carriage bolt to the frame. A series of washers and nuts holds the legs onto the carriage bolt and is sure to stay in tact with the use of thread locker.

The angle at which the legs rest is another problem we saw with our competitors boards. Most of them only extend at a 90 degree angle and after constant pounding from the bags hitting the playing surface, the legs will start to fold back underneath the board and cause the board to collapse. We have designed our legs with a little more angle to make sure the boards stay put.
